(비버튼, 오리건주 2011년 6월 29일 AsiaNet=연합뉴스) Yakima Products, Inc.가 일부 애프터마켓 FlipSide(TM) 4 바이크 히치 캐리어(NHTSA 캠페인 # 11E-025)에 자동차류 안전과 관련된 결함이 발견되었다고 오늘 발표했다. 이는 이들 제품에 기능 불량의 가능성이 존재한다는 뜻이다. 불량 제품의 경우 마스트가 예고없이 접힐 수 있으며, 그에 따라 부상이나 재산 피해가 발생할 수도 있다. 지금까지 이 기능 불량으로 인한 부상은 접수되지 않았다. Yakima는 해당 제품을 공급받은 모든 판매점에 연락하여, 당장 FlipSide 판매를 중지하는 것은 물론 매장이나 전시에서 제거할 것을 요청했다.

Yakima Recalls FlipSide(TM) 4 Bike Hitch Carriers

(BEAVERTON, Ore., June 29, 2011 AsiaNet=연합뉴스) Yakima Products, Inc. today has decided that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in certain aftermarket FlipSide(TM) 4 bike hitch carriers (NHTSA campaign # 11E-025). There is a possibility of the unit malfunctioning. In such a case, the mast could fold unexpectedly. This could cause injury or property damage. There have been no injuries related to this malfunction. Yakima is in the process of contacting all affected dealers who have been asked to stop sales of the FlipSide immediately and to remove product from the sales floors and all displays.

Yakima and its retailers will be reaching out directly to those consumers that have purchased the affected product. Consumers that own a FlipSide are being asked to cease use of the racks and visit http://www.yakima.com/flipsiderecall. Consumers may also call Yakima customer service at (888) 825-4621.
